I have been having the worst time trying to figure out what the hell was going on with this. I also tried running a disk check on my Hard Drive, but that too didn’t work.
I also tried taking the battery out and putting it back in like other have suggested, but that too didn’t work. When I try the uninstall in device manager trick listed above, the battery icon starts filling up, with white moving up and down within it as though it is filling up, but this happens only for about 5-7 seconds and then stops and goes back to empty and still says “0% available (plugged in, charging)” but actually is not charging. It says, “0% available (plugged in, charging)” but it actually is not charging, and the little battery icon is empty with nothing moving up and filling it like normally happens when the battery is charging. When I finally got to an outlet, the computer turned on, but the battery won’t charge. One day, I didn’t have power and used up the entire battery.
